Mission

The mission of the Little Guy Foundation is to serve local and international communities through art education, amplification, and connection programming. The purpose of our organization is to serve as an agent of amplification and to connect humanity through the promotion of self expression and creation of intentional networks that connect and empower creatives and organizers to pursue sustainable, community-based impact.

Vision

Our vision is to implement diverse programming in which the impact can be measured, replicated, and sustained in communities around the world.

  1. Create customizable art education programs (dependent on the local community and their needs) with the intention of fostering the capacity for local communities to tell and amplify their own story.

  2. Build an extensive media platform dedicated to amplifying the art and stories of local artists and organizers

  3. Build 2 extensive, international online networks one of creatives, humans, and anyone interested in connecting with others, as well as one of nonprofits, organizers, and community leaders dedicated to connecting like minded humans with the common goal of creating a better future.

  4. Share the narrative of the Little Guy so that it becomes a wide-spread principle of shared humanity and a well know symbol of compassion, curiosity, and creativity.

  5. Create local and international volunteer programs based around connecting artists and otherwise to opportunities for development and meaningful impact, and connecting organizers with the resources they need.

  6. Design and launch a sustainable digital marketplace for local artists and organizers to sell products representing their story and social efforts to the American consumer base. The products would be developed by Little Guy and marketed through our social media platform.

Purpose

Our purpose as the Little Guy Foundation is to provide access to needed resources, programming, and encouragement to live with passion and love for yourself and for others. Art is the expression of the human experience, and sharing stories; whether it be public speaking or poetry, documentary or cartoon, is the most powerful tool of social change and personal development. Our purpose is to promote artistry with the intention of drawing bridges between even the largest disparities in human experience: those faced with socioeconomic inequity are whose stories need to be told, and those who perpetuate inequity are who need to be touched by stories of inequity most. In the process, we hope to encourage self expression as well as equitable access to personal, social, and professional development through art spaces and art education resources.

We want to look out for the the Little Guy in us all that is driven to travel, create, and feel deeply. The Little Guy Foundation is dedicated to helping spread the narrative that we are all humans capable of love, creativity, and unlimited potential, and that every Little Guy around the world deserves a chance to be heard and amplified through shared art. Our narrative is simple: the purpose of life is looking out for the little guy; in you and in others.

The Little Guy Narrative

Little Guy serves to represent and promote the acknowledgement and nourishment of our shared humanity. The Little Guy Foundation’s official definition of art is the expression of the human experience. In all campaigns toward social change, there is often the unintentional use of art - videos, stories, pictures displaying human experience, etc.. In all successful campaigns for social change, there is intentional use of art - turning stories to song, turning pictures to symbols, turning videos to documentaries, etc.. The Little Guy narrative is about conveying the power of intentional art and the beauty of rediscovering art in our lives. Art that is based in good and directed toward equity is how we help others, and a life that is based in art and directed toward helping others is a life good for the soul.

Looking out for the little guy
