A large part of the mission of the Little Guy Foundation is the institution of accessible, respectful, and intentional art spaces and resources worldwide. The main focus is on disadvantaged communities, or partner communities, that request our programming

WHY? Why art?

Intentional art is the use of self expression and storytelling to send a universal message- speaking not to be heard but to be understood - Sam (CEO of the Little Guy Foundation)

Micro level

  1. Art education and art spaces develop personal and interpersonal skills

  2. Understanding how intentional art can be used to create large impact in the world

  3. Necessary for self confidence and mental health awareness

  4. Develops public speaking skills, self expression, empathy, and self-confidence 

  5. Mental and professional development and technical skills (reference studies regarding music and cognitive capacity)

  6. Community building

Macro level

  1. Advocacy and awareness of disadvantaged communities globally

  2. Allowed the sharing of inequity and local experiences without extractive journalism

  3. Creates a global community connected by art and shared humanity, despite all differences

  4. Allows for self-expression and personal amplification through a global media network

  5. Allows for passions and creativity to be valued professionally and allows access to the global marketplace for individual artists to learn and make money through creative skills

  2. Writing workshops

    2. English classes

    3. Public speaking development

    4. Self-expression and self-advocacy

    5. (eventually) volunteer

  3. Photography and Videography workshops

    1. Cameras

    2. (eventually) volunteers to teach documentary and photo-journalism

    3. Help understand how they can advocate for their own justice and equality through self documentation

  4. Media Literacy

    1. Have media managers teach how to grow a media platform and how to market the art that they create to a larger audience

    2. Website building

    2. Have volunteer teachers, media curators, and even construction labor for art spaces
